Terms of Service

Effective date: August 6, 2026 · This page is currently available in English.

Welcome to Costori — we’re glad you’re here. These terms keep things fair for everyone, so please give them a read; we’ve kept them as plain as we could.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, using the Costori app, or using the Costori website (together, “the service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

2. The service

Costori is a personal cosplay planner: an iOS app and a website that help you capture ideas, plan builds with checklists and references, track progress, and manage events. The service is for your personal, non-commercial organising.

3. Your account

4. Your content

You own your content. Your cosplays, photos, notes, and everything else you create in Costori remain yours. You grant us only the limited license we need to store, process, and display that content back to you as part of running the service — and to pass a reference image to our AI provider only when you have opted in to AI features and explicitly triggered them. We claim no other rights to your work.

You’re responsible for the content you add, and you confirm you have the right to upload it.

5. Credits

AI features run on credits. Credits are promotional and consumable: they have no cash value, are not refundable, and are not transferable between accounts. Free weekly grants, referral rewards, and other earn amounts may change over time. If the referral or feedback earn paths are abused (for example, with fake accounts), we may reverse the credits involved.

6. In-app purchases

Where in-app purchases are available, they are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple’s terms apply to those transactions, and refund requests go through Apple’s refund process.

7. Acceptable use

8. Objectionable content and abusive behavior

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Objectionable content includes sexually explicit material, graphic violence, content that harasses or promotes hatred against any person or group, and anything unlawful.

Costori is a private planner: your cosplays, photos, and notes are visible only to you, and there is no feed, profile, or public link through which another person could see them. If you nevertheless encounter content you consider objectionable — including anything produced by our AI assistant — report it from the … menu on the item, or from Profile → About & support → Report objectionable content.

We act on every report within 24 hours. Where a report is upheld we remove the content and terminate the account responsible for it.

9. Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running well, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or unchanged — features may evolve, be paused, or be discontinued. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability arising from your use of the service is limited, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects mandatory consumer rights you hold under the law of your country of residence.

10. Termination

You can stop using Costori and delete your account at any time (Profile → Account & security → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service; where reasonable, we’ll warn you first.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we do, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and for meaningful changes we’ll let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
